Service Description
A fun, beginner-friendly photography course for creative tweens ages 8–12 designed to build creativity, confidence, and storytelling skills through photography. Over 6 weeks, students will learn simple photography techniques like lighting, composition, angles, storytelling, and beginner editing while exploring their creativity in a supportive and encouraging environment. Students may use a phone camera, beginner DSLR, or point-and-shoot camera. Throughout the course, students will participate in hands-on activities, creative photo challenges, and guided projects designed to help them learn to “see” like a photographer and capture meaningful images in their own unique way. The experience will end with a special showcase celebration featuring their favorite image created throughout the course, including a mounted print to take home.

Cancellation Policy
The Hangout Spot Studio – Hourly Rental Agreement This Agreement is between The Hangout Spot Studio (Erica) and Renter, managed by Avenue 9 Photography (Erin). 1. Rental Options & Rates $75 for the first hour. $50 for each additional hour. $25 for an additional 30 minutes. Half-Day Rental: $200 (4 hours). All rentals include access to lighting kit, backdrops, and studio equipment. 2. Payment Terms Payment is due at the time of booking. Bookings are confirmed only after payment is received. No refunds for unused time, early departures, or cancellations. Rescheduling is permitted, but must follow the cancellation policy outlined below. 3. Booking & Holds All bookings must be made through Booking Service. (Tentative holds may be requested for members only.) Setup and teardown must be included in the reserved rental time. 4. Access Shop Hours (Mon–Fri 7am–4pm, Sat open): Check in at The Hangout Spot front desk; guests may purchase snacks/drinks. After Hours/Weekends: Erin or Erica will unlock/lock the studio. Studio is unavailable during Hangout Spot events. Lobby/styled décor: use permitted during shop hours when available; guaranteed after 4pm weekdays, Saturday evenings, and Sundays. 5. Studio Rules Leave the space as you found it. ❌ No glitter, confetti, smoke, or fog. ❌ Do not cut paper backdrops; roll neatly after use. Props and furniture must remain in the studio. Normal wear on backdrops acceptable; damage billed at replacement cost. $50 cleaning fee applies for excessive mess. 6. Time & Overtime Bookings must include setup and teardown. Overtime is billed at $100/hour or $50 per additional 30 minutes. Extensions must be approved at least 8 hours prior, if available. 7. Cancellations & Rescheduling Cancel or reschedule via Booking System at least 24 hours in advance for a credit toward a future session. Cancellations within 24 hours = half credit/refund. No-shows = no credit/refund. 8. Liability Renters are responsible for their clients, guests, and belongings. Use of the studio is at renter’s own risk. The Hangout Spot and Avenue 9 Photography are not liable for injury, theft, or loss. 9. Content & Marketing Renters retain all rights to their content. The studio may reshare content with credit unless privacy is requested in writing. Renters are encouraged to tag @avenue9photography and @thehangoutspothouston when posting. 10. Agreement By booking an hourly rental at The Hangout Spot Studio, Renter agrees to all terms above.
